As of yesterday, eight weeks stand between me and toeing the line at the ITU Age Group World Championship in London. The spring and early summer have not been kind in terms of injury and training. I have been trying to make up for my lack of run training with harder swim and bike training, but I can't say I'm ecstatic with it. I'm now on the flip side of my usual race situation. I find myself looking over my shoulder in fear of being chased down by faster runners.

Nothing much is going on in my world that's worthy of writing home about, but here's an update (like anyone cares).

My daily drawing has been a fail because I stopped doing it while I was feverishly preparing a talk on my latest project (the Cleveland Museum of Art's website) for the Cleveland Drupal Users group. The talk went well, despite my struggles with stage fright.

Tonight I had to run in the dark after a long day of work. But it was unusually warm for December (60 degrees) and it was a good for stress relief. I noticed a tree that was pitch black against a sky filled with reflected light (but it was only slightly brighter than the tree in the foreground). I tried to draw it, but I'm way too sleepy to do it right. Anyway, here is what I drew.
